TYPES OF KHSI MEMBERSHIP

1.   Regular/Voting Membership – This is the typical membership needed for individuals, couples, partners, farms, families and corporations for the purpose of registering Katahdins, being listed on our membership lists and receiving the newsletter.  A “Regular” membership is entitled to one vote in KHSI elections.  A regular membership entitles the member to register sheep in the name of a person under 18 for purposes of 4-H and FFA shows.

2.   Associate Membership – A membership category for individuals who do not own a KHSI Registered Sheep, but want to belong to KHSI to receive the Katahdin Hairald (newsletter), have their name listed in the KHSI membership rolls, and/or to advertise commercial Katahdins for sale at the KHSI website and in the Katahdin Hairald.  These members typically have a commercial flock or are upgrading their flock to a KHSI registered flock.  Associate members can not vote in KHSI elections.  Associate members have all the privileges of regular membership, but voting.
